ˇ@ Reversible ETSC/ESB (Endoscopic Sympathetic Block by Clamping): Sympathetic nervous trunk is cut or burned to treat sympathetic disorders in conventional sympathetic surgery. It is impossible when patient can not tolerate the postoperative condition and want to return his original condition.
ETSC/ESB is invented by Dr. Lin in 1996, which possesses reversible
character. Regret is possible by removal of clips when patient can not
accept the postoperative outcomes. Titanium-made clips are used to clamp the
sympathetic nervous trunk without cutting or burning it through two small
incision wounds in armpit. It takes less than 10 minutes to finish whole
ETSC/ESB procedures bilaterally. Patient is ususally recovered on the next
day of operation. No scar is visible after wound healed.
Procedures of ETSC/ESB. Good results, Small wounds;
Chest X-Ray of the same patient. (Upper): before ESB (Left lower): clamped level can be easily identified in ESB (red arrows) (Right lower): Clips were removed when ESB was changed for ETS. Thereˇ¦s no difference between before and after ETS.
